Device lifecycle services

Device lifecycle services are a suite of capabilities that support an organization’s end-user devices from setup to end of life. Device lifecycle services help organizations save time and money by handling device procurement, deployment, maintenance and asset disposition.

From comprehensive device refreshes to day-to-day support, device lifecycle services help employees be productive while ensuring IT resources are effectively managed. Traditional device lifecycle services involve manual imaging, asset tagging, installation and disposition processes.

The device lifecycle is increasingly using self-service models that reduce requirements for physical space and IT staff participation. Cloud-based device provisioning gives end users the means for self-guided setup, and Device as a Service (DaaS) models shift those tasks to a partner organization. Additionally, replacing a device is made easier by giving staff the flexibility to quickly swap and set up devices on their own through IT vending machines or by mail.
